Gold Leaf Make-up I created at Alternative Fashion Week inspired by Fendi Spring/Summer 2012 Make-up…
At Fendi make-up artist Peter Phillips created gold leaf make-up. It applied from the models lash line all the way past the eyebrow, covering it completely. Black, winged liner was drawn on to contrast the metallic silver and gold leaf. This look inspired me to create a similar look at Alternative Fashion Week for ©Adreinne Ford’s beautiful Collection yesterday where I was the key make-up artist, with my amazing make-up team- Lori Baker, Raj Pal & Rowenna Gill.
How to Achieve the Gold Leaf Look:
1. Apply Look Beauty Long-Lasting Liner in ‘Disco Glitter’ all over the eye lids and smudge with your finger. Then set this black liner with MUA Cosmetics Single eye shadow in Shade 15.
2. Line the upper lids with a thick, winged-out line using FashionistA gel eyeliner in Black-Mogul with Illamasqua eyeliner brush.
3. Tear gold foil into little shreds and apply from the crease line winging outwards from the brows with a pair of tweezers or your fingers. Make sure the eyelash glue is applied the skin first in order to stick the gold leaf to the desired areas. Gold Leaf can be purchased from http://www.stonehouses.co.uk/
4. Carefully apply Look Beauty ‘Stretch Factor’ mascara to the upper and lower lashes.
Karla’s Gold Leaf Top Tip: Make sure you know exactly where you want your gold leaf to sit on the models skin as once it’s stuck down it’s a pain to remove.
